Vertical sliding windows are an excellent copy of the original Victorian wooden sash windows. The modern UPVC versions are the same thickness, so fit in usually without disruption to the original outer framework.

The added benefit given by changing old original or poorly functioning sash windows is that the modern versions have improved energy and sound insulation.

Also, instead of just sliding up and down, the windows will also open into the property, making ventilation and cleaning more straight forward. These are standard in white but are available at a premium in any colours desired.

The glass is always toughened and can be obscured if required.
